Ultimate Universe is a Total Conversion Mod for Bethesda Softwork's "Star Trek: Legacy". To play Ultimate Universe you much have a the Stock game. It adds hundreds of maps and ships that are not in the Stock game as well as new Game Modes for other types of gameplay.


1. Stock Game System Requirements:
* Windows XP (Home, Media Center or Pro Editions) with Service Pack 2
* DirectX Version 9.0c
* Intel Pentium 4 (2.66ghz or higher) or AMD Athlon XP 2800+ or higher
* DX9 compatible AGP 8X or PCI Express video card, 128 MB VRAM, Pixel Shader 1.4
* 16-bit Direct Sound compatible sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio
* 512 MB RAM
* 5 GB free space
* LAN or Broadband connection (DSL or Cable Modem) for Multiplayer
* Windows compatible Keyboard & Mouse


2. System Requirements have they changed from what the Stock Game had?

Answer: Due to the increased level of detail on the models and the higher quality textures on many ships in UU you will find that it won't preform as well as the Stock Game had. Also the addtional visual effects and other graphical changes affect performance.

UU has it's own space requirements of about 6gb in addition to the 5gb for the stock game. It's recommended to have atleast 1gb of ram for UU. Also for the Videocard, if you have a Nvidia 6600, 7600, 8600, 9600 or higher or the equivalent ATI Card you should be able to play the game well. UU 1.5 adds Pixel Shader 3.0 Support to the game as well as an option, most videocards that can run Legacy support Shader 3 but not all so it's an option you can enable/disable.

Note: The 9400 is NOT higher than an 8800 or even a 6600, the first number is the "Series" of the card and the last 3 digits are the basic "power" of the card any of the 600 or higher models should be able to run UU reasonably well in most cases. At the max quality settings and higher resolutions even the best videocards in SLI mode can't always keep up in more with come conditions such as the highest quality ships and enough ships or a complicated map.

3. Question: Does it work with Vista?

Answer: The game works with Vista 32bit and 64bit versions except Multiplayer. There is no apparent way to get Multiplayer to work on Vista, this includes both Internet Multiplayer and Local Area Network LAN Multiplayer.
